Hello, I'm a 14 yo Pakistani who lives in Peshawar. I study in Aps (Army Public School) and I'm a 9th grader. Two years back , in 2014, when I was in 7th grade, a tragic event took place in our school in which I was present.First of all, the location of the school was not in a safe place ; it's an army school but surprisingly not located in Peshawar cantonment which is not good for the school's safety. The school's really big , the grounds are very big and its auditorium was really huge and beautiful.
The picture shows the school's front side before it was attacked
The front side of the school was covered by army which made it safe but no one bothered about the back side of the school. The walls were short but it was not totally vulnerable to attacks because there were a few soldiers trying to protect it. In December 2014 , as I mentioned above, our school was attacked by terrorists . It was a cold day , Tuesday , 16 December : Everyone was wearing coats, scarves and sweaters due to the cold weather . Morning bell rang and we went to our classes. According to that day's schedule our first class was of science, second of English , third and fourth were to be consecutively taken by math's teacher. First two classes went really well but in math class the whole thing started. Third period/class was about to be over. All of a sudden I started hearing gunshots but I ignored them I thought a 2nd year drill was going on , everyone else thought the same. But then we started hearing more noise and we were worried. Suddenly a boy entered our class saying "terrorists attacked our school" we were so scared and our teacher told us to hide under the desks. They attacked the auditorium first.
After attacking the auditorium they headed to the principal's office area where they took the lives of the school's staff.
They did the same thing in the auditorium, many students and teachers including the principal were martyred.
Somehow, Allah took 7th and 6th graders out of the school. We were totally safe but it was indeed the worst day of our lives. The Black day.
